Coleslaw Restaurant-Style

Preparation: 15 minutes | For 8-10 hot dogs

INGREDIENTS
  • 2 medium-size green cabbage, shredded (approx. 2 l/8 cups)
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped (optional)
  • 60 ml (1/4 cup) sugar
  • 2,5 ml (1 /2 tsp) white pepper
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) salt
  • 180 ml (3/4 cup) vegetable oil
  • 250 ml (1 cup) white vinegar

PREPARATION

  • Put the shredded cabbage in a large bowl. Add the celery and onion (if used).
  • Combine the remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat. Remove from heat.
  • Pour this vinaigrette over the cabbage. Toss and refrigerate at least 1 hour.
  • Prepare hot dogs with the ULTIMATE HOT DOG STEAMER.
  • Fill hot dogs with coleslaw and your choice of condiments.
